Hi! I’m wondering if there is a supplement form of aromatic-turmerone and whether or not it is like curcumin in that it is better delivered via phytosome or liposome methods. Or is phytosomal curcumin enough? Am I just misunderstanding what turmerone(s) are(s)?
How well does this translate to oral turmeric intake?
In this study tumerone was injected to brain but other studies translate to 5-6 grams per day. However, this was administered without piperine, which increases bioavailability of curcumin (and likely tumerone) by 2000%. That would suggest that 300mg-1000mg may be a decent range but I’m looking for more studies to confirm.

Yes, they do pass the BBB.
Fats also increase the Bioavailibility such as olive oil
@janine Yes! This paper is awesome! The tumerone was able to increase the neural stem cell population by 45%. That is robust and similar to what some neurotropic growth factors can do. I’m really excited about this data!
Does cooking (boiling) destroy the beneficial compounds found in turmeric?
I have not read any literature that curcumin or tumerone are heat-sensitive.
Then this makes supplementing with turmeric and piperine very easy, and delicious :) In fact, I used to do it unknowingly dozens of times before.
