The article suggests that COVID-19 revealed the susceptibility of our world to a catastrophe. The “four horsemen” are the underlying conditions in our world that have set us up for a pandemic. These four are overpopulation, globalization, hyperconnectivity and increasingly limited and centralized supply chains.
