Overall, the reduction in risk of respiratory infection induced by vitamin D was similar to the protective effect of the flu vaccine. The study analyzed data from 25 randomized clinical trials conducted in 14 countries including the UK, USA, Japan, India, Afghanistan, Belgium, Italy, Australia and Canada.
