Introduction
Light does much more than help us see. It tells the brain what time it is.
That signal coordinates sleep and wakefulness, hormone release, metabolism, mood, and hundreds of other processes that follow a roughly 24-hour rhythm. Its effects depend not simply on how much light reaches the eye, but when it arrives.
Bright light in the morning and throughout the day strengthens the body's daytime signal. Dim evenings and dark nights allow the biological night to unfold. Modern life often reverses that pattern, giving us biologically dim days and unusually bright n...

Sodium plays a crucial role in human physiology, yet its consumption remains a topic of ongoing debate in health and nutrition science. While it is essential for maintaining fluid balance, nerve function, and muscle contractions, excessive intake has been linked to various adverse health effects, particularly cardiovascular disease and hypertension. The complexity of sodium's role in health arises from individual variability in salt sensitivity, lifestyle factors, and dietary habits.

Introduction
Light has profound and diverse effects on the human body, influencing sleep-wake cycles, circadian rhythmicity, mood, and immune function. In recent decades, scientists have begun exploiting the body's responses to light with photobiomodulation, a non-invasive, light-based therapeutic technique. Photobiomodulation employs specific wavelengths of light (measured in nanometers, nm) to stimulate biological processes within cells and tissues, triggering a cascade of physiological responses. A growing body of evidence suggests that photobiomodulation has potential...

Animal models used widely in biomedical research to predict toxicity, safety, and efficacy of human interventions (including drugs, nutritional components, and bioactive compounds) are complicated by differences in xenobiotic or drug metabolism between animals and humans.
These differences arise from species' physiological, anatomical, metabolic, life span, and genetic diversity. Among the more straightforward is that larger animals, such as humans, generally require smaller drug doses than a strict weight basis would predict due to differences in body surface area.

Resveratrol is a natural compound found primarily in the skin of red grapes and the root of Polygonum cuspidatum (also known as Japanese knotweed). It is also present to a lesser degree in peanuts and blueberries. Resveratrol protects the plants in which it is present from fungal attack and the damaging effects of ultraviolet radiation.
Originally extracted in the 1940s, resveratrol attracted little interest in terms of human health until 1992 when research suggested that it could mediate some of the cardioprotective effects of red wine.[ref doi='10.3390/molecules220202...
