Telomere length: There’s at least one recent study that (in yeast cells) shows caffeine shortens telomeres while alcohol lengthens them. I love tea and coffee (I drink quite a bit of the latter instead of sugar drinks). I also like to imbibe quite a bit of alcohol. I don’t drink every day, but when I drink, I like to go for a “buzz.” Am I fucking up my telomeres? What’s the scuttlebutt?
Interesting, I was just watching an interview you (if you are Rhonda) did with Joe Rogan. Near the end you mention that you have the ApoE4 gene (or whatever ) that predisposes to Alzheimer’s disease. Risks outweigh benefits?
