New gene-editing tool called HITI is 10x more efficient than CRISPR and partially restored vision in blind animals

The main factor that separates HITI from CRISPR is that it is able to target non-dividing cells and modify DNA, which is important because non-dividing cells make up the majority of adult organs and tissues.
