3D printed blood vessels implanted into a mouse successfully grew into & merged with the host blood vessel network.

While the 3D printed blood vessels integrated with the body’s own network to circulate blood, they are not yet capable of other functions, such as transporting nutrients and waste. Still, this is a huge step in the right direction!
