Aerobic exercise (3 days per week, 45 min per session) improved cognitive function in older adults at risk for Alzheimer’s disease according to a meta-analysis of 19 randomized controlled trials.
These data suggest that aerobic exercise training may be an effective modality of exercise to maximize cognitive health for older adults.
