Coffee consumption for a longer life? Over 200 studies find that drinking coffee is associated with a lower risk of getting heart disease, a lower risk of some cancers, diabetes, liver disease and dementia compared with drinking no coffee. Overall, there was no consistent evidence of harmful associations between coffee consumption and health outcomes, except for those related to pregnancy and for risk of fracture in women. Interesting observation that warrants future clinical research to establish causation.
