Children who eat fish at least once a week sleep better and have IQ scores that are 4 points higher than those who consume fish less frequently.

This study does not establish causation. However, confounders such as gender, father’s education, mother’s education, siblings, home location, and breakfast consumption habits were all accounted for. Also, there was a dose-response relationship with more fish consumption associated with greater IQ improvements…which strengthens the data.
