To circumvent metformin's blunting effect on exercise-derived benefits, some researchers have suggested administering the drug on days when exercise is not performed. However, this may not be a straight forward solution due to the many factors involved. In this clip, Dr. Rhonda Patrick discusses whether timing metformin administration apart from exercise may be a strategy to overcome some of its adverse effects.
